The Reflection

It's you, I see. Perhaps a better version of me. Yet I know I am me, and know you are you. We're different, I know we are. Yet similar in so many ways. That is why I see myself in you -- the reflection of someone who I knew...deep way back, a place in my dreams. Your reflection reminds me of the person I ought to be. You are me in countless ways, though I may not know you entirely. Yet something inside me believes that the reflection I see...is me. Even if you are you in many countless ways. And I am me, unique as I am, and as you are.

The reflection - so close yet so far beyond my reach. A certain grin of arrogance, an air of pride, a sense of dark rebellion, a dire sense uncomprehendable...these things that I may not possess that in you. That reflection is me...I just can't figure out why. Perhaps the words are too hard to deduce, yet easy to grasp. Can it ever be? Or is it yet a dream, that is, to become you?
